Heat Management

Protection from abrasion, wear and chemicals

Cerakote’s range of high-temperature resistant coatings can cover a wide variety of applications. Whether it’s headers, general engine-bay components, manifolds, exhausts or exhaust tips, the Cerakote Range offers numerous choices to suit your needs. With heat stability spanning from 260 °C up to 1000 °C, there are specialized coatings that will elevate both performance and longevity of your parts.

  • Coatings rated up to 260 °C are ideal for valve covers, timing covers, pulleys, oil pans, throttle bodies, fittings, oil and filler caps, and certain manifolds — perfect for under-the-bonnet heat soak management.

  • The 426 °C range suits exhaust-adjacent components such as shrouds, exhaust hangers, clamps and brackets, cold-side turbo parts and lower-power builds; suspension, braking and some piston/internal engine parts also sit comfortably in this sweet spot.

  • Moving up to 648 °C brings us into dedicated piston coatings like C-109, engineered to reduce heat transfer into the piston, improve detonation resistance and lower thermal shock. At this point the list expands to include many internal or high-temp applications such as turbos and thermal barrier components.

  • At 1000 °C we enter Glacier Series territory — coatings made for the hottest environments: exhaust manifolds, hot-side turbo parts, downpipes, exhausts and tips exposed to flame, EGR parts, headers and mid-pipes. Glacier coatings shrug off extreme heat, keeping temperatures where they belong, improving performance and delivering a modern aesthetic that resists wear and tear.

H and Elite Series coatings are incredibly flexible coatings, allowing us to coat any metal part (alloys, aluminium, steel, stainless, brass and copper), plastic components, carbon fibre, 3-D printed and polymer components.

From calibers to hubs, spoiler parts and everything else, Cerakote adds a super attractive, modern aesthetic which aids with abrasion resistance, hydrophobicity, impact resistance in a hard, ultra thin coating.

Cerakote shrugs off oil, brake cleaner, acetone, thinners, car cleaning chemicals, making it ideal for parts that get a tough time; calipers, hubs, exterior trim and mounts that are exposed to high chemical exposure are perfect candidates.

To protect against abrasion, E series is the best coating in the world. It’s so thin, you can coat a set of nuts & bolts and still thread them together with ease. With a co-efficent close to Teflon, Elite coatings will add a super tough, impact, gouge resistant barrier on your parts. Wheel nuts, bolts, impact driver fittings, bell housings, trim & badges, you think of it, it can be protected.

Baking sun and UV can ruin your cars aesthetics, C-series come in king here, from Bright Whites that will stay true for years to high temp reds, purples and many others, its the perfect candidate to replace inferior paint and powder.

High Temp Applications

At Salopian, we apply high‑temperature ceramic coatings built to handle extreme heat up to 1,800°F / 1000°C. These finishes protect exhausts, turbo housings and other hot‑running parts from corrosion, thermal cycling and winter road salt, while still giving a clean, durable look.
If you need reliable protection for parts that live in the hottest zones of a vehicle, Salopian’s high‑temp ceramic coatings deliver.

Power Train Applications

At Salopian, our thin‑film ceramic coatings are ideal for parts with tight tolerances and harsh operating conditions.

The finish is tough, scratch‑resistant, and built to withstand rock chips, abrasion, and constant wear. Where other coatings break down quickly, our ceramic system stays intact and keeps high‑wear components protected.
